Process Gas Switching

Certain rework processes need inert atmosphere to prevent oxidation. However, inert gas is extensive and often limited in availability. The Process Gas switching option for the Top or Bottom Heating Module allows economic use of inert gas during a soldering process, achieved by limiting the use of inert gas to the temperature range where it's actually needed.

  • Principle of process gas switching

Highlights

  • Prevents solder joint oxidation
  • Increased live time of soldering result
  • Keeps wetting condition
  • Software controlled economic use

* depending on configuration
